  1. I went the Corte Madera event last night, but you know, I was very disappointed and pissed off to find out that Tom Stienstra has a sexist alter ego, demonstrated by his juvenile (not funny) jokes about women and generally male-oriented perspective. I have been reading and clipping his non-sexist column for years and was excited to hear and see him in person, but I left after the lame slide of bigfoot kissing a woman?! The whole first part of the slide show was just plain stupid and adolescent. Even though at least half the audience was women, he seemed to ignore that fact and kept talking about his Boy Scout days. The worst (and old) joke was a slide about a book called “Understanding Women” which showed a gigantic book. Ha, ha. Not. Is he still living in the 1950s?

Watch out, any women who go to the rest of these events – get ready to be insulted.
