Surfing
There are at least 25 named surf breaks between Rosarito and Ensenada—far too many to cover in detail here. Some are overhyped and packed with boards; others are consistent yet never crowded.
Whether you are a beginner or an advanced surfer, you can probably find a spot that works for your skill level. For info break by break, pick up a copy of The Surfer’s Guide to Baja.
Spas
Spas are a relatively new addition to the Rosarito activity list. In part of the original mansion of the Rosarito Beach Hotel, Casa Playa Spa (south end of Juárez, tel. 661/614-4410, U.S. tel. 619/946-2987, ext. 1364, spa [at] rosaritobeachhotel [dot] com, 8 A.M.–6 P.M. Sun.–Fri.) offers massage, facials, body wraps, and scrubs. Treatments range US$40–100.
