1000 Fell St., 410/522-7777 or 800/522-2088,

This looming brick building and wharf date back to 1893 and in a way they mark the geographic eastern end of Fell’s Point. Today, this huge structure is broken up into condominiums, a conference center, and the inn; there’s also a large marina, which gives guests even more to look at from their gorgeous waterfront rooms, decorated with plush, heavy, Colonial-style contemporary furnishings.

There’s a lovely interior courtyard where guests can have their complimentary breakfasts, and visitors can stroll along the wooden planks of the waterfront promenade into the heart of Fell’s Point, close enough to enjoy but far enough to keep the late-night revelers out of your slumber plans. The biggest problem here? With only 38 rooms and a devoted clientele, it’s sometimes hard to book a room.
