Phranakorn-Nornlen Hotel is a rare, small, and lovely hotel in Bang Lamphu. Created around the concept of slowing down life to enjoy it, the hotel staff aims to create a peaceful, relaxed place to visit.
It’s right off of busy main Thewet Road; you enter on a side street through a courtyard that serves as a common garden and leads to the reception area. In line with the owner’s dedication to preserving the environment, many of the furnishings are restored objects from various eras.
The rooms, each decorated with the sort of perfected yet casual hand-sewn look usually found in the pages of a Martha Stewart magazine, are equipped with CD players, telephones, and air-conditioning. The included breakfast is vegetarian and features locally-grown produce.
