Lunch in already-congested Chinatown gets a little crazier in this neighborhood thanks to the popularity of the street stalls and wet market surrounding Wat Kanikapol.
In the area you’ll find a couple of items you don’t often see in Bangkok—fresh crepe spring rolls stuffed with vegetables and meat, and noodle soup made with small curled noodles instead of the typical long, flat ones.
The wet market on the alley adjacent to Wat Kanikapol, called Trok Isara Nuphap, has vendors selling raw meats, fish, and vegetables and some small shophouses and noodle stands that get very crowded during lunch.
