3 Qianmen Dongdajie
10/5815-9988
COST: ¥500-1,500 per night
METRO: Chongwenmen (Line 2)
Each of Capital’s 596 guest rooms is fitted with smart, modern decor, true to its 5-star status. Perfectly located within walking distance of Qianmen’s sights, as well as Tian’anmen Square and the Forbidden City, it’s a good choice for business travelers and an affordably luxurious option for tourists.
The building may look decidedly gray and brutalist from the outside, but its two towers contain excellent guest rooms and suites (some of which overlook the Forbidden City), as well as solid dining options, a chandeliered club lounge, a spa, and a gym.
