If you’re a fan of dumplings a visit to Shun Yi Fu is a must. Dumplings are what they do best (widely held to be the very best in Beijing) and the options are plentiful. They come either boiled or pan-fried, with fillings ranging from shrimp to donkey, and most things in between.
Particularly tasty are the vegetarian dumplings, and the fresh salads are worth a try too, to offset the heavier flavors. Classic choices like pork and cabbage never fail to hit the spot. The skin of the dumplings at Shun Yi Fu tends to be thicker than the regular variety, adhering to old Beijing traditions.
Interior decor is clean and simple, with unfussy furnishings and crockery.
