This 55-room boutique hotel benefits from an excellent downtown location and a luxury atmosphere that has a surprisingly reasonable price tag. Its name means “home” in Mandarin and it occupies a quirky 1920s corner building in the heart of the commercial district.
One-off art installations dot the hallways and public areas. Each room is fitted with its own kitchen. If you don’t feel like cooking, there’s a great Italian restaurant, Issimo, on the 2nd floor, set up by celebrity chef Salvatore Cuomo.
JIA is located within walking distance of People’s Square and Jing’an Temple and is just a couple of Metro stops away from The Bund and the Old French Concession. If you like to be in the center of things, this is the hotel for you.
