M Suites is a hip boutique hotel on the banks of the Suzhou Creek at the Pier One development close to M50 and Mengqing Park. Formerly the Union Brewery, the building has an arresting white frontage capped with a boxy tower looking out over the creek.
Inside, the decor is equally attractive, decked out mainly in white. Each of the 24 rooms is an exercise in contemporary design and the trendy Mimosa Supperclub and Monsoon terrace bar comprise the drink and dining options.
While it’s located a little farther out of town than other hotels, M Suites’ stunning appearance and great facilities more than make up for the extra mileage. In any case, a taxi into town takes around 15 minutes, so you won’t be too far from the action.
