The Pudong Shangri-La purports to have the biggest rooms in town, as well as the largest ballrooms. The hotel is split into the Grand Tower and the River Wing and is located right on the Lujiazui riverfront. This means that great views are guaranteed and downtown Puxi (the area west of the Huangpu River that contains People’s Square, Jing’an Temple, and the Old French Concession) is only a couple of metro stops away.
Lodging in this part of town puts you right at the heart of the modern financial district, with plenty of retail, tourist, and dining options in the vicinity. The Shangri-La has 577 guest rooms plus the famous Jade on 36 restaurant and bar. Each room is decorated sumptuously in neutral tones.
