Tiny on the inside with a large terrace overlooking a little park and the art deco apartment blocks on Fumin and Donghu Roads, Cantina Agave is a mainstay when it comes to Mexican restaurants in Shanghai and is an expat favorite.
With a tequila list to make your eyes water and a menu packed with enchiladas, burritos, tacos, and more, it’s a popular choice all year round thanks to its outdoor heaters. Summer attracts the (mainly expatriate) crowds to sip frozen margaritas on the terrace, the perfect spot for some people-watching.
A very reasonable weekday lunch special offers several menu selections at a reduced price.
