HOURS: Daily 10 a.m.-7 p.m.

METRO: Changshu Road (Line 1, Line 7)

For kitschy and retro Chinese gifts, try this quiet, airy boutique on Fumin Road. Replica propaganda postcards, revolutionary memorabilia, metal Mao-era mugs emblazoned with slogans, and even Communist-style clothing line the shelves.

The prices are higher than you’ll find at the markets, but the relaxed shopping experience and great quality make it worth paying a bit extra.

The shop’s exterior is painted a pretty, duck-egg blue color. It sits on the same stretch as various tea stores, pottery boutiques, and split level cafés. Farther down the street is a popular cluster of bars and restaurants.
