Located off the main lobby at Elbow Beach Hotel, the panoramic Veranda Bar (60 South Shore Rd., tel. 441/236-3535, cocktails 11 a.m.–1 a.m., dining noon–11 p.m., snack menu 5 p.m.–1 a.m.) attracts a Friday night exodus from Hamilton for its popular summer happy hour (5–9 p.m.), where visitors and local corporate types mingle in the cozy lounge and on the covered terrace as the sun sets over the beach below. A rum bar offers more than 50 brands, including Bermuda’s Goslings Black Seal, and snacks are served all night long, with tapas on Fridays.
