Named for the flower that inspired the John Lennon album (he saw it in the park during his summer 1980 Bermuda visit), the Double Fantasy Gift Shop at Botanical Gardens visitors center (183 South Rd., tel. 441/236-5291, fax 441/236-8970, 9:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m. Mon.–Fri.) stocks an assortment of whimsical, garden-inspired treasures. Bermuda books, cedar souvenirs, and knickknacks such as candles, games, toys, light plates, floral stationery, croquet sets, even gardening tools.
An image of Lennon’s famous freesia is branded on T-shirts, tea towels, and cutting boards. Cold drinks and snacks are also sold at the center, which has a large room with tables and chairs and vistas of the rolling lawns outside.
