Pub grub reigns at the popular Frog & Onion Pub (The Cooperage, Maritime Ln., tel. 441/234-2900, frogpub [at] ibl [dot] bm, www.frogandonion.bm, lunch 11:30 a.m.–4 p.m., dinner 6–9:30 p.m. Mon.–Sat., lunch noon–4 p.m., dinner 5:30–9 p.m. Sun.), which serves fish ’n’ chips, steaks, pizza, salads, meat pies, seafood, and lobster in season. It also offers Thursday night quiz challenges, Friday night carvery, seafood Saturdays, and kids’ activities on Sunday afternoons (magic shows, free ice cream, kids’ menus).

Hammerheads Bar & Grill (Snorkel Park, 31 Maritime Ln., tel. 441/234-6989, 9 a.m.–5 p.m. daily, bar 11 a.m.–3 a.m. daily, closed Nov.–Mar.) is a very popular beach park facility that sells burgers, sandwiches, fries, snacks, cold drinks, and alcoholic beverages.

Fish sandwiches, fish cakes, fish ’n’ chips—you get the picture, although Freeport Seafood Restaurant (1 Freeport Rd., just inside Dockyard’s main gate, tel. 441/234-1692, fax 441/234-3605, 11:30 a.m.–10 p.m. daily) serves burgers and meat dishes, too.

They line up out the door all summer long for cold scoops of decadence from Nannini’s Haagen Dazs (Clocktower Mall, tel. 441/234-2474, summer 9:30 a.m.–6 p.m. Mon.–Sat., 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Sun., winter 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Mon.–Sat., 11 a.m.–5 p.m. Sun.).
