Cafés and Snacks
Trip Ideas
Located inside the Conjunto Nacional’s gigantic, new Livraria Cultura, V. Café (Av. Paulista 2073, tel. 11/3170-4033, 9 a.m.–10 p.m. Mon.–Sat., noon–8 p.m. Sun.) has immediately become the city’s most sought-after literary café. Flaking out in a cushiony chair and leafing through piles of books and magazines in the company of attractive bookworms and a top-of-the-line espresso is a great way to while away an hour or two. For snacks or light meals, there are inventive sandwiches (try the roast beef with arugula, ginger, thyme, and honey mustard on pumpernickel) and a variety of cakes.
