The Motel 6 Redding South (2385 Bechelli Ln., 530/221-0562, www.motel6.com, $55–75) is known to regular travelers as one of the best examples of a Motel 6 anywhere—it’s definitely better than the other two in the Redding area.
Sure, it’s a Motel 6, so your room will be plain and you won’t get a lot of frills or extras. What you will get is a clean bedroom with a clean bathroom and a comfortable bed for the night. Even the pool is clean and totally swimmable!
