Most travelers don’t come to Beverly Hills looking to stay in a youth hostel. In a town whose name equals wealth, the point is to dive headfirst into the lap of luxury. Though you might have to save up to get a room near Rodeo Drive, if you choose wisely you might just get a sense of how the other .001 percent live for just one or two nights.
For budget accommodations in the general vicinity, look to the chain motels in the West Hollywood region. This upscale area, which serves as L.A.’s gay mecca, divides its lodgings between the Ramada and the equal-to-Beverly-Hills upscale unique hotels.
