The Kingston Inn & Suites (2156 E. Colorado Blvd., 626/793-9339, www.kingstonpasadena.com, $80–350) provides good clean rooms right along the Rose Parade route for reasonable nightly rates (which go way up for the Parade). You’re also nice and close to Old Town, restaurants, and museums.
The guest rooms have standard dark floral bedspreads and matching deep red carpets, enough room to walk around your two queens or king bed, and average motel bathrooms. A sizeable balcony outside each room offers the perfect Parade vantage point, and a sparkling pool with hot tub beckon travelers outside.
