If you need a quick bite before a show at one of the Old Globe Theaters, the closest eats can be had at Lady Carolyn’s Pub (619/231-1941, ext. 2751, Tues.–Fri. from 7 p.m., Sat.–Sun. from 1 p.m.). This walk-up snack bar offers soups in sourdough bowls, salads, wine, and Irish coffees.
Open every day a show goes up (until the theater shuts its doors), Lady Carolyn’s can get crowded on weekends. Dine early if you can.
