If you’re a serious student of wine, don’t miss out on the Sonoma County Wine Library (Piper and Center Sts. at the Healdsburg Regional Library, Healdsburg, 707/433-3772, www.sonomalibrary.org/wine). This public library extension contains a collection of over 5,000 books on wine, subscriptions to more than 80 wine periodicals, photos, prints, wine labels, and an online resource for wine lovers at http://winefiles.org.
Among the 1,000 or so rare wine books, you’ll find treatises on the history, business, and art of wine from back as far as 1512. The library is a perfect place for wine drinkers who want to take their habit or hobby to the next level.
