Photography and Art Classes

The unbelievable scenery of Yosemite inspires visitors young and old to create images to take home with them. Knowing this, Yosemite offers art and photography classes to help people catch hold of their inner Ansel Adams.
In the summertime, art classes are offered for free out of the Yosemite Art and Education Center (Yosemite Village, Mon.–Sat. 10 a.m.–2 p.m.). Check the Yosemite Guide for a list of classes during your visit.
You must bring your own art supplies, chair or cushion to sit on, and walking shoes (you’ll take a brief walk out to a good location to see the scenery). If you don’t have supplies, you can buy them at the Village Store just before class. Also check the Guide for guided tours of the Ansel Adams Gallery in the Village.
