Planning Your Time
Trip Ideas
Three days are enough to visit Villahermosa and Comalcalco, the state’s main destinations. In Villahermosa, spend the morning at Parque-Museo La Venta and the afternoon checking out sights in the Zona Remodelada, such as the Centro Cultural, Plaza de las Armas, and Torre del Caballero.
The next day, hop on a colectivo to Comalcalco, where you easily can visit the ruins and a chocolate factory as a day trip.
Spend your final day in the anthropology museum, admiring some of the Olmec, Toltec, and Maya artifacts found around the state. Spend the afternoon poking around downtown or, if you need a mall fix, head to Tabasco 2000.
