The sea of white tents at this weekend arts festival is a testament to the creative culture in Charlotte. The festival started in 2002 as an old-school block party to draw attention to local businesses.
It’s continued to grow and now includes an open-air market for 150 artists, studio tours, a children’s art festival, antiques fair, and street demonstrations.
The original block party is still going strong and there are live performances throughout the weekend.
