The best value may be well-furnished Hotel Olicar (Papudo 385, tel. 034/424106, US$24/26 s/d), which lacks amenities other than private bath and cable TV.
Hotel Plaza (Rodríguez 370, tel. 034/421169, fax 034/426029, hotelplaza [at] terra [dot] com, US$38/40 s/d with breakfast) offers cozy rooms with cable TV, some with small patios, and parking. Ironically enough, it no longer has a Plaza de Armas entrance.<
A recent addition is Hotel Los Andes (Av. Argentina 1100, tel. 034/428199, hotellosandes [at] tie [dot] cl, US$26/41 s/d).
