Cuba is schizophrenic when it comes to homosexuality. The situation blows hot and cold and discrimination still exists, despite recent positive strides. (For example, two people of the same gender may now share the same bed in casas particulares, but gay organizations and clubs are illegal.)

Cuba’s Centro Nacional de Educación Sexual (Calle 10 #460, Vedado, Havana, tel. 07/832-5464, www.cenesex.sld.cu) advances gay rights.
