For sushi and traditional Japanese fare, head to Sakura (Calle 18, esq. 3ra, tel. 07/204-2209, daily noon–midnight), in the Tocororo (Calle 18 #302, esq. 3ra). The sushi menu is restricted, but quality is surprisingly good. Miso soup (CUC3), tempura (CUC12), and sashimi (CUC12) are served, as are sake and Japanese beers.
Likewise, the Fusion El Abanico, in the Hotel Meliá Cohiba (Paseo, esq. 1ra, tel. 07/833-3636, daily 7–11 p.m.), offers Japanese fare including sushi.
