Labor Day weekend in Denver is a chance to sample various Colorado culinary specialties and gourmet favorites in a three-day eating extravaganza. Chefs do demonstrations and attendees can enjoy a full meal or just snack throughout the day at every little booth.

Over the years the food has become just one part of the festival; there’s also live music, arts and crafts, and other special exhibits. At this time of year, be on the lookout for fresh melons and peaches, though any kind of barbecue seems to always be the favorite.

Parking can be a problem, so be prepared to walk off whatever you eat on the way back to the car.
