Built in 1998, the Clear Creek Whitewater Park in downtown Golden is designed for canoeing and kayaking about one-quarter mile of the creek. The park includes a stretch of flat water, giant boulders to steer around, drop offs, and fast-moving eddies. There are roughly seven city blocks of whitewater fun.
The park is used for many championship events during the year, and can also be rented for private functions.
