It’s a genius idea: packaging spices in an appealing and original way. The spices and blends at Savory Spice are cleverly named after local geographical highlights such as 14,000-foot peaks, rivers, canyons, and even neighborhoods. Of course there are also familiar herbs and spices such as cinnamon, ginger, paprika, and so much more, but within each of these there are myriad choices: origin, organic or not, whole or ground.
It’s hard to resist this shop when the spice scents waft out the door for a half a block or so. There are two other locations in Littleton (2650 W. Main St., 720/283-2232) and Boulder (2041 Broadway, 303/444-0668).
