Hotel Dally (Luperón, Calle Duarte, tel. 809/571-8034, US$18 d), in the middle of Luperón, has clean rooms with fans and hot-water bathrooms. It has an adjacent seafood restaurant.
Luperón Beach Resort (Carretera de Las Américas, tel. 809/571-8303, www.besthotels.es, US$90–125 d) and Tropical Luperón (Carretera de Las Américas, tel. 809/571-8303, www.besthotels.es, US$100–150 d) are two spacious resorts next to one another on the same beach. They are very similar in amenities. Accommodations are roomy and comfortable with balconies. Suites have a big seating area. The pool is nice and the beach is long and not overcrowded, with plenty of shady areas. While the food at the regular buffet is good and varied, the food at the beachside grill is substandard. At night there is entertainment either in the poolside open-air dance floor with live music, or in the amphitheater for shows. All in all, don’t expect the luxury accommodations that you’d find elsewhere, but they’re a good value.
La Casa del Sol (Luperón, Calle 27 de Febrero, tel. 809/571-8403, US$30) has five good rooms to rent and is a laid-back, comfortable, and welcoming hotel, but don’t expect frills. It is about 1.5 kilometers outside of Luperón along the Carretera Las Américas.
Miamar (El Castillo, Calle Vista Mar, tel. 809/471-9157, US$25–50, breakfast included) is located on a scenic hill with a swimming pool and more-than-generous-sized rooms with king-sized beds.
