It’s somewhat ironic that a number of excellent restaurants have popped up in the shadow of three people-pleasing theme parks, but that’s just what’s happened along Orlando’s own Restaurant Row, a strip of Sand Lake Road west of I-4.
There are a couple of dozen praiseworthy spots in this small area (which also happens to be close to the upscale neighborhoods of Dr. Phillips and Bay Hill), and by all means, if you’re wondering where to eat, aim your car here rather than the garish tourist strip of International Drive. Although there are a handful of neat spots on I-Drive, some of the best restaurants in Orlando are located along Sand Lake Road.
