Although there are a handful of other Brazilian-style churrascarias along I-Drive, none can match the friendliness and value at
Crazy Grill (7048 International Dr., 407/354-4404, 5:30–10 p.m. Tues.–Fri., 1–10 p.m. Sat.–Sun., $26.95 per person). In keeping with the style, each diner is given a plate and a cork; the cork is green on one side, red on the other.
Turn the cork so the green side is up and a cavalcade of grilled meats will begin to pile up on your plate, fresh from the kitchen. A dozen different cuts of slow-roasted meat will be offered continually, from flank steak and chicken to some mouth-watering sausage. Turn the cork to red when you need a break.
Delicious bread is served tableside, and there’s a salad bar filled with fresh vegetables if you feel your heart beginning to rebel. Although it’s considerably cheaper than some of the other churrascarias in the area, the food is still exceptional, and the laid-back atmosphere and affable service make for a casual dining experience.
In the I-Drive/Restaurant Row area, there’s a Bonefish Grill, a FishBones, and then there’s Moon Fish (7525 W. Sand Lake Rd., 407/363-7262, 5–10 p.m. Sun.–Thurs., 5–11 p.m. Fri.–Sat., main courses from $22); if you’re craving high-end preparations of seafood, the latter should be your destination. Asian touches abound on the menu, but there’s also a solid selection of steaks and chops. The raw bar serves up phenomenal oysters.
