Antigua has a number of Italian restaurants popular with travelers and locals alike. Quesos y Vino (5a Avenida Norte #32A, tel. 7832-7785, noon–3 p.m. and 6–10 p.m. Wed.–Mon., $5–10) has delicious pizza, pastas, and cheeses in addition to Chilean and Spanish wines.
Caffé Mediterraneo (6a Calle Poniente #6A, tel. 7832-7180, noon–3 p.m. and 6–10 p.m. Mon. and Wed.–Sat., noon–4:30 p.m. and 6:30–9 p.m. Sun., $7–12) is small but serves excellent Italian food, including homemade pastas and delightful antipasti in addition to a good assortment of wines.
For gourmet pizza, try Papazitos (4a Calle Oriente #39, tel. 7832-5209, 11:30 a.m.–11 p.m. daily). It also serves nachos, panini, calzones, pastas, vegetarian dishes, wine, and beer. It offers free delivery with a minimum $7 purchase; 10- to 18-inch pizzas go for $9–16.
