Along the highway on the western edge of Santa Lucía Cotzmalguapa at Km. 90.4 of the Pacific Coast Highway is Hotel Santiaguito (tel. 7882-5435/6/7, $26–50 d). The large, comfortable rooms have cable TV, phone, air-conditioning, and private bathroom set on spacious grounds with a swimming pool. Nonguests can use the pool for $3 and there is a good restaurant where fish, seafood, or meat dishes range $6–9.
About 200 meters east along the highway is Hotel El Camino (tel. 7882-5316, $23–40 d), featuring bright rooms with tile floors, large bathrooms, balconies, cable TV; some have air-conditioning. Fan-cooled rooms on the first floor are less attractive but cheaper. There’s also a decent restaurant here.
Head east and then down a short signposted lane to Hotel Internacional (tel. 7882-5504, $20 d) with 14 large rooms and cold-water showers, fan, and cable TV. Try for an upstairs room.
