Nebaj’s busy market is one block east of the church and sells basic items mostly of interest to local residents. It’s substantially busier on Thursdays and Sundays, when merchants come from out of town peddling cheap First World goods. For weaving and handicrafts, there are several stalls near the church. Another good spot is the Centro Cultural Ixil y Mercado de Artesanías (3a Avenida Zona 1, right off the park), where you can shop for handicrafts in a pretty neocolonial courtyard.
