Pizzeria Venezia (10 a.m.–9 p.m. daily) has decent pizza (US$7–8 for a large), as well as a large selection of fresh licuados. There is a second branch out on the highway, catering to passing motorists, with better pizza than the original.
Next door is Pollos Kike, a roast chicken restaurant with a little more style than the usual joint.
Another good spot is the restaurant at Park Place Center, a sort of downtown shopping center next to the park.
Del Corral Steak Ranch on Francisco Morazán is renowned for its steaks, while Del Corral Snack Bar is a popular place for snacks and coffee in the Del Corral Supermarket.
On the highway to San Pedro, at kilometer marker 118, is a deli-supermarket, Granja d’Elia. All sorts of vegetables, meats, cheeses, and other goodies are available daily until 8 p.m. The adjacent restaurant, very popular with motorists driving between San Pedro and Tegucigalpa, serves a decent buffet with a wide selection of breakfasts, appetizers, meat and vegetarian entrées, and salads, open 6 a.m.–9 p.m. daily. Right next door is Don Tiki, and a couple of kilometers farther up the road toward Siguatepeque is Betania, two other good buffet restaurants.
Local farmers come from the villages on Thursdays and Saturdays to sell their goods in the San Juan market.
