December 7–14: Town festival of Juticalpa, in honor of the Immaculate Conception of María.

December 7–14: Town festival of Yuscarán, notable for (in addition to attending special masses) getting drunk, lighting off bombas, and a skinny dog contest.

December 8: Choluteca celebrates the National Festival of Cultures.

December 12: Guancasco between Gracias and Mejicapa, in Mejicapa, Gracias. Also, several towns host a Procesión de los Inditos.

December 13: Guancasco between Yamaranguila and San Francisco de Opalaca, Intibucá.

December 17: Guancasco between Lejamaní and La Cuesta, in Lejamaní, Comayagua. This day Lejamani also hosts the presentation of the Baile del Gigante.

December 25: Christmas—National Holiday.
