Más X Menos (pronounced Mas Por Menos, 8 a.m.–9 p.m. Mon.–Sat., 8 a.m.–8 p.m. Sun.), on Avenida La Paz below the U.S. Embassy, is a full-service grocery with all manner of imported and domestic packaged goods.
A convenient downtown supermarket is La Colonia (7 a.m.–8 p.m. Mon.–Sat., 8 a.m.–6 p.m. Sun.), one block west from the park on Calle Bolivar. There’s also a branch in Comayagüela on 6a Avenida between 9 and 10 Calles, and the branch on Boulevard La Hacienda and the Mega-Colonia on Boulevard Suyapa carry a wide selection of imported products.
Mercado San Miguel, next to the Hotel Granada in Barrio Guanacaste, has a decent selection of fruits and vegetables and is considerably easier to navigate than the larger market in Comayagüela.
