A water park a few meters down the road from Hacienda El Jaral is run by the same owners as the hacienda. Aqua Park (9 a.m.–5 p.m. Tues.–Sun., US$4) has several pools and slides, a couple of snack bars serving burgers and the like, a souvenir shop, and even a “Cow Museum,” with someone’s personal collection of cow knickknacks along with many more cow items that are for sale. There are basketball and volleyball courts, a soccer field, and balls. Paddleboats on the pond cost US$3, and horses are available for rent.
Weekdays you’re likely to have the place to yourself, which is a drag since they require 5 paid admissions to turn on a big slide, 20 admissions to turn them all on. On weekends all slides are on all day.
While it’s a relatively small water park, it’s well-maintained and can make for a fun day with the kids.
