On Father’s Day weekend follow the smoky smell of barbecue to the annual Rhythm and Ribs festival, which unites two of Kansas City’s favorite things: jazz music and barbecue.
The historic 18th and Vine District hosts a non-stop lineup of local, regional, and national musicians on two stages while pit masters prepare mouthwatering feasts of barbecue classics.
Other festival highlights include a barbecue contest, children’s activities, and educational jazz programming that covers local jazz history, musical techniques, and more.
