Kansas City’s majestic outdoor theater flung open its doors in 1950, and for more than five decades has welcomed concerts, musicals, and performing acts to its sizable stage flanked by impressive brick turrets. The second-largest theater of its kind in the United States, Starlight also hosts special events like corporate parties and weddings.
While you’re there, be sure to find the Walk of Stars, to which 24 famous performers have already been inducted. Today only three self-producing outdoor theaters remain in the United States, making Starlight Theater a must-see while you’re in Kansas City.
