In a city with as rich an Irish heritage as Kansas City, you’re bound to find numerous Irish bars sprinkled throughout the metro area. O’Dowd’s Little Dublin captures an ethnic authenticity that’s made it a favorite bar since the ornately carved double doors swung open in 1996.
Favorite Irish beers and whiskeys are in plentiful supply, and for those who prefer sweeter libations O’Dowd’s offers a quarterly cocktail menu that captures the tastes of the season.
O’Dowd’s often hosts live music, and on New Year’s Eve bar patrons ring in the Irish New Year at 6 p.m. with free champagne. When you’re there, don’t forget an Irish toast: Slainte!
