The words “Southern cooking” bring to mind fried chicken, mashed potatoes, fluffy biscuits, and cornbread that walks a fine line between cake-like and crumbly. At Peachtree Restaurant, you’ll find all of this and more in an upscale, elegant interior inspired by the elegance of Kansas City’s jazz era.
The Peachtree is one of the Power & Light District’s few locally owned tenants, making it a favorite gathering spot for a hearty lunch or even larger dinner.
Come hungry—really hungry—and don’t leave without sampling the sweet potato–studded cornbread, Mississippi fried catfish, and the restaurant’s signature dessert: the Peach Tree cobbler served by a wait staff that is as friendly as it is knowledgeable.
