Known as one of the tallest city halls in the country, Kansas City’s 30-story City Hall remains a towering example of local architecture. Adorned with Beaux Arts and art deco details, the building was completed in 1937 as part of a three-building construction program. An outdoor frieze on the building’s sixth floor is comprised of relief sculptures that depict early city growth.

Take the elevator to the 30th-floor observation deck for one of the best views of Kansas City’s skyline and prime photo opportunities. As you walk through the main lobby, admire the carefully installed architectural features such as sculpted brass elevator doors that depict Kansas City’s four methods of transportation: planes, boats, cars, and trains.
