Begun in 1995 as a small fundraiser for the Ferndale community, this annual mid-August parade down Woodward Avenue has become the world’s largest one-day automotive event, luring 1.5 million people and 40,000 classic cars from around the globe.

The Woodward Dream Cruise (www.woodwarddreamcruise.com) stretches 16 miles though Berkley, Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills, Bloomfield Township, Ferndale, Huntington Woods, Pleasant Ridge, Pontiac, and Royal Oak, taking over Woodward Avenue through each of these towns—truly a spectacle to behold.

Find your spot early, as it gets very crowded all along the route.
