Battle Creek hosts several celebrations throughout the year. For over five decades, the Battle Creek Cereal Festival has celebrated the city’s most famous industry in mid-June with a parade, live entertainment, and the world’s longest breakfast table, offering complimentary cereals, fruit juice, and other Kellogg’s breakfast foods. Started in 1956 as part of the Kellogg Company’s Golden Jubilee, it has become a beloved annual tradition in downtown Battle Creek.
Another popular event is the International Festival of Lights, during which Linear Park is decorated with lighted holiday displays from late November to New Year’s Eve. For more information about both events, visit www.bcfestivals.com.
