Billings is blessed with good Asian food; main courses at the following restaurants range $8–16.
Along the Montana Avenue strip is Sweet Ginger (2515 Montana Ave., 406/245-9888, 11 a.m.–10 p.m. Mon.–Sat.), serving pan-Asian dishes, including sushi, Thai, and Korean food.
Thai Orchid (2926 2nd Ave. N., 406/256-2206) has a good selection of vegetarian dishes.
Near the hotels off I-90 exit 446 is Jade Palace (2021 Overland, 406/656-8888, 11 a.m.–9:30 p.m. daily), which mixes Cantonese and Szechuan cuisine in an attractive setting.
If you’re itching for sushi, you’ll find it at NaRa Oriental Restaurant (3 Custer Ave., 406/245-8866), near the corner of Division and Montana Avenues. NaRa also serves Korean dishes in addition to Japanese specialties.
A longtime favorite for southern Mexican cooking, Mamacita’s (1404 6th Ave. N., 406/252-9950) features house-made tortillas and salsas.
