Trail networks are also maintained by the Glacier Wilderness Resort and the Glacier Highland Motel. The Glacier Highland’s seven miles of trails start right behind this West Glacier motel; stop in the office to get a map.
The 13 miles of trails near the Glacier Wilderness Resort are between West Glacier and Essex. Skiers follow old sections of Highway 2 and climb to Garry Lookout.
Go to Marias Pass for excellent skiing at the Continental Divide; it’s as gentle as a major pass can be, with terrain suitable for beginners and intermediates.
