There’s no shortage of cheer in town during Christmas Prelude, the two-week holiday carnival that brings out carolers, tree lightings, visits from Santa on a boat, and literally tons of decorations on the area’s most historic homes.
Not long after, the Winter Carnival starts up. The early February festivities are a weekend full of tobogganing and sleigh riding, ice skating, and other competitions.
